Resolve to run more in the new year? The St. Luke’s Half Marathon is the race for you

The April 24 race is about 16 weeks away, providing the perfect amount of time needed to train for a half marathon. The St. Luke’s Half Marathon also is a great race if one of resolutions is to run your first-ever half marathon. The course is mostly flat, is diversified (both city running and beautiful parks) and is large enough to provide great crowd support but not too large that it’s crowded or overwhelming. Can you run a 5k now? If so, you can run a half marathon in 16 weeks! Our beginner training plan starts with a 6-mile long run, while other well…

The Referral Contest will take place, again, in 2016 where race participants can seek to earn a top spot and win cash prizes for referring the most runners to the St. Luke’s Half Marathon and 5K races. LVRR Featured as Case Study
A year ago we made the switch to a new registration service, Runsignup.com, and could not have been happier. Let’s just say that our race directors and treasurer have had an easier time managing registration and volunteers through our new system. Runsignup has been a real pleasure to work with, always willing to listen to our feedback to make tweaks to their system, and even making changes that we have needed. Recently, two club members were interviewed by Johanna Goode from Runsignup.com, the interview was featured as a case study on their website. You can read the case study here.
