184 runners braved last night’s humidity and heat to participate in another one of our free evening 5k races held in Lehigh Parkway. The Summer Series 5ks are held the first Wednesday of the month, May through August, at 6:30 pm. There were some fast runners who showed up at last night’s race, the first finisher, Conner Veres (20), crossed the finish line in 16:51. The next six runners finished with times within the 17:xx range.
Gabby Cocco (19) was the first female across the finish line with a time of 20:54.
There were quite a few first time racers at last night’s race. All of you deserve an extra round of applause for braving the weather and making our race your first! Thanks for coming out.
Great job, everyone! Thank you for coming out to the park for a fun evening of running and dinner. We hope to see you all next month at our final 5k race in the summer series which takes place on Wednesday, August 4.
