A year ago we made the switch to a new registration service, Runsignup.com, and could not have been happier. Let’s just say that our race directors and treasurer have had an easier time managing registration and volunteers through our new system. Runsignup has been a real pleasure to work with, always willing to listen to our feedback to make tweaks to their system, and even making changes that we have needed. Recently, two club members were interviewed by Johanna Goode from Runsignup.com, the interview was featured as a case study on their website. You can read the case study here.

Congratulations to the McKinley Elementary students for winning the 2nd place prize of $500 from the St. Luke’s Half Marathon Kids Run. The LVRR is really proud to recognize your efforts to promote health and fitness to your students.

The following is a very touching letter the club received from the mother of Francesco Rizzuto, 2012 winner of the Summer Kids Series T-Shirt design contest. She regularly participates in our Kids Series and was recently honored for her work at school. She wanted to share with her classmates how much she enjoys our youth runs. Lehigh Valley Road Runners donated some left over t-shirts from last summer to her class. Thanks to her mother, Holly, getting in touch with us. Dear Lehigh Valley Road Runners, Thank you so much for allowing Francesca to have the t-shirts for her class presentation. Her third grade teacher, Mrs. Jennifer Reed (pictured rear left) and her principal, Ms. Brenda DeRenzo (pictured rear right) are also pictured with her classmates. Francesca is sitting in the front by herself. Francesca was the happiest little girl at Fogelsville Elementary on Friday. She felt very important talking…
